Hiburim on the Farm

Hiburim on the Farm

This program was established to help ease the difficult circumstances of Israeli farmers. It was also developed with an eye to the future, in the knowledge that the younger generation is unaware of the basic historical and national importance of working the land. “Hiburim on the Farm” meets this challenge through programs intended for all times, locations, and sectors. We view farming in present times as a good way of connecting different groups within Israeli society. It also connects the past with the future and individuals with their roots. This program forms a link between volunteers and farmers who need assistance, arranging accommodation and meals and holding seminars for volunteer groups. Five hundred volunteers from all over the country work annually on farms in the greater Beit She’an and Jordan Valley.
